I can't check my Yahoo mail at work. That really stinks. I just got a computer and a desk on Friday, although I have no useful software on it yet. I am handwriting all my code and dictating it to a coworker. Nah. I kid. Some of the recent new hires don't have desks or computers yet, so I feel privileged.

Have you made the move, then?
My first job out of school, I did not get a computer for at least 2 weeks. It was ridiculous. The only thing there was to do was read specs that other people were kind enough to print out for me.
so if we want to send you a message, what do we do? just leave a message here?
and what did you do before you got your desk?
yep, all moved.
i'm not sure if i can even get here. a little afraid to try. i went to a couple of techie message boards and got an access denied...apparently it is SEC regulations. no outside communication except through the firms email system, because everything is tracked.
um, i read documentation on some of the existing software, i wrote code by hand, designed a couple of databases, sat at someone elses desk, took long lunch breaks and read two Michael Connelly books...
