From the Mountains of Tibet

I saw one of these Kawasaki Sherpas today on the street. I became slightly jealous because it looked like a lot of fun. I've always wanted a dual sport motorcycle because of the ease at which you can go from one trail system to the next or to be able to take a "hybrid" route home from work, half street and half trail.

Yes, Big A, I already know you think dual sports suck because they don't do street or trail riding particularly well.

I have never said that they suck. However, I wouldn't buy one because I would have absolutely no use whatsoever for it. Can you imagine cruising down 495 on one of those?

Hm, I actually didn't know they made bikes like that. I prefer street bikes anyway.

big a: no, you couldn't do that at all. it would work well for me though.

skape7: me too, and nothing could ever replace my 4 wheeler for trail riding, but if i had money to burn i would have all three types. the cool thing about riding one of these in traffic is you can attack the road like a trail. they are very light and manueverable for dodging in and out of traffic, riding on a sidewalk if you have to, etc.

Actually, the off-road stuff WOULD come in pretty handy when trying to navigate the potholes on 495. Might be kind of scary having to go 90 mph to avoid being tailgated, though.
